Sensitivity in hands Fibromyalgia!
Yeah I have the same problem with nerve pain in my hands. I had carpal tunnel release surgery on one hand several years ago, so I thought it was that again. The hand specialist sent me for a nerve conduction study which came back mildly abnormal. He gave me a hydrocortisone injection in one wrist and it has actually helped. I was also put on amitriptyline by my GP for it, which actually helps with my other fibromyalgia symptoms too.
It’s so horrible! Struggling with typing on my phone, I was on amitriptyline I had some nasty sides effects so came off. I’m now on pregabalin I’ve never had the sensitivity before and my memory is becoming so bad now aswell I feel like I can’t remember anything.
Same here, I have to write to-do lists or put things in my calendar I I'll forget 😕Tell your GP about the new symptoms though as see if they can refer you for a nerve conduction study 😊
I spoke to my GP about these symptoms but she just said it’s to do with the fibromyalgia, what’s the nerve conduction study?
I could be, but it could not be, she can't assume. I had a few appointments years ago (before fibro) with GPs who said they didn't think it was anything, and it ended up being the physiotherapist that said I had carpal tunnel syndrome and needed referring to orthopedics. I then had surgery. 18 months ago I had problems again and the GP referred me to the specialist hand clinic. They organised the nerve conduction study for me (tiny needles and electrical currents (not painful!) Keep on at the GPs if you still have the symptoms.
