Hello, yes I get this too. That heavy/burning feeling though mine is in the back of my ribs and sometimes neck is very cramped. I also got restless legs but this has eased off since I started having a daily glass of tonic water (not the diet one). Yay to this condition - NOT:( Take care:)

Hi There I am Stephen, I have Fibromyalgia for about 10 years and had all the same feelings then by accident I discovered tramadol in hospital for another thing, now for the past eight years I feel normal again.Working full time and I feel as if I have got my life back again. Tramadol is not for everyone but it worked for me. I remember reading somewhere that tramadol was the best for Fibro sufferers. I hope you find the solution for you.

Hi Stephen. Thanks for the information and happy you are well and working again . Do you still hv fibromyalgia still. I’m not working at the mo have been signed off work cos of how I am feeling. I’m feeling so tired no energy cos I don’t sleep much at night cos of the pain and not being able to get comfortable . I’m worried that I may not be able to go back to work cos my job is physical as I’m a Carer a lot of lifting and moving . . Can any one give me any advice what I need to do if I can’t work cos of my condition. Can I get any help financially. ?

If you are in the UK and are old enough, you can contact AgeUK for help. You can also try Citizen's Advice Bureau.

Hi HARROP65 , I have really painful legs especially at night, they feel heavy and burning and the pain seems to be coming from my bones, and often have to resort to Co-codomol to give me enough relief so that I can sleep. I also take Amitriptyline at night too. Every now and then I resort to a brandy night cap, even though not supposed to have alcohol with the meds, it's the only thing that will guarantee me a few hours sleep! I had a particularly bad night last night, and am still in pain now, just can't get comfy anywhere with the pain. I will just have to take things easy today, and not do anything, I'm lucky in that I'm retired so can more or less please myself what I do, and I have help from my understanding hubby.

I have horrible trouble sleeping. Hands go numb, calf muscles hurt, ankles definitely hurt since they’ve both been reconstructed with plates and screws, and my shoulders, neck and back. And oddly sometimes my face feels like it’s on fire. I’ve tried so many things and I still can’t really get relief in all of them. Good luck and I hope you find something that works

Me too! I don’t even remember what it’s like to get a good night’s sleep or feel rested when I wake. Unfortunately I have gotten used to it over the years.
