Hi there and welcome, glad to hear you keep yourself has active has you can. Sounds like a tension neck to me. I used to get them a lot. I know how painful they can be. The neck muscles tend to get excruciatingly tight. So an headache is not surprising. Sometimes I think when we get diagnosed with anything we sometimes have a tendency to over think things imo.
Not everything we feel is fibro related. A lot of what we feel at times is just a normal reaction to other things.
Glad you had it checked out with your GP. Please try not to worry.

Hi dizzytwo thanks for your reply I don’t have a lot of pain in my neck .always had a bad neck .did feel a lot of pain when doc pressed on my muscle though.have dull headache which comes and goes I have tingling in my face like prickly heat and yesterday I felt like my scalp was on fire hot tingling heat feeling again we .treating my tight muscle if that’s the problem but nothing has change since wed.if my headache hasn’t settled by this Wednesday I’m off for scans im currently .down in my shed Having a sing song to try and distract my self . I tell my friends singing is a good release even if you can’t sing lol feeling terrified
Right at the beginning of my illness before diagnosis, I had constant headaches and face tingling, prickling and numbness. Now that I have some treatment, the headaches only happen when I have done too much or I am really tired. Face tingling is still happening every day so I 've accepted that this is normal for me. Like you, I rarely had headaches before. Although I can't offer any advice, at least you know that someone else experiences the same thing so hopefully that is a bit reassuring.
I’m so scared because my niece was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour .benign luckily but I know she was having tingles in her face/lips. She had no other issues .she happened to get knocked out at footy and sent for a scan and it was found .I’m back to the doc on wed to tell him of my weekly experiences which is scaring the crap out of me . I did some relaxation And Meditation tutorials this morning before everyone got up Today so that helped
Hi how are you I had my my mri and have found I have nothing wrong in my brain But the the outer/white layer has had some changes to it and it resembles a person who has suffered with migraines.. I’ve never really suffered with headaches .anyway I googled migraines and reading along I came to aura’s ,you usually get them before a head ache .I’ve had these aura’s over the years and ahead ache which didn’t bother me to much a Panadol close my eyes and it was gone so I wouldn’t say it’s migraine .Unfortunately I never thought of this until I got home .anyways I’m going for another mri to rule out MS . Did you experience any of this .my tingles and headache did. Disappear for a few day but has returned
Hi, I have what i describe as tingling, burning on my face and head. I seems to have died down lately. My neck and shoulders get very painful and particularly at the base of my skull which causes headaches and pain.It bought a neck massager off the Internet which looks like a neck wrap with pockets to put your hands in.
It is the best massage system I have ever tried. It cost me about £20. In fact my son in law has bought one as he has neck problems and wouldn't do without it.
Since using mine I have noticed a big difference in my neck.
May be worth a try.
The other treatments i found helpful was my tens machine and a heat wrap.
Thanks for the advice I've always had a bad neck .bad posture .I didnt listen to my elders when I was told to stand up straight .I'm fairly tall so i was always looking down on all my school friends .I have been doing some gentle stretches . I have been thinking the worst scenarios .
OK. I looked on eBay. And several of these appeared all different prices. They do not have a maker's name so must be from China. They also include infrared heat while it is working too. Most have an orange inside panel with a buff colour on the outside.
I've had headaches and migraines from a super young kid. So I've had loads of tests as a kid etc. They often get worse by stress, if your hair gets in your eyes that can make them worse. Stormy weather upsets them. Plus you can get allergic to certain foods that can cause them, chocolate, cheese, grapes, eggs. Theres quite alot of foods that trigger them.
I've also learnt that if you get them on one side or they are in a different place than 'usual' or you suddenly get them, then you need to keep an eye on them.
Its really good you are going to the doctors about them, to get them double checked. It's likely to be a problem with a food or something. Alot of people have them with the fibro, it's classed as a symptom of it. So it could just be that. 💜
Hi I have no idea about migraines. Headaches are not a common occurrence for me .I've had this dull ache with twitches and tingles burning for over a week now thanks 💚
Hi, yes i suffer from this a lot especially headaches/ migraines pain in my neck shoulder and arms, i get the tingling underneath my mouth but it turns into an extremely annoying itch, i also get numb legs, arms and shoulders and also have bowel problems.
I wake in the night with numb legs or arms I have IBS aswell .i keep myself active to control my aches .and it does work .the headaches tingling in my face .burning scalp and tickles is a first for me.that's why I'm so freaked out.i do have pain in my neck .which hasnt really bothered me till about week or 2 after the headaches and tingling started
Hi Margie did I reply to you ?.I don’t think I did it right . I think my reply must went in with everything else .i looked up spondylitis . And I have thought that I could have a pinched nerve.x
Hi I’m 48 I had thought of a pinched nerve too .I can easily wake up with a stiff neck very painful but never experienced anything like the facial tickles tingles and burning sensation before now,. or stretch the wrong way and start to feel pulling then I stop and relax it and it releases if that makes sense . Still investigating
