Hi yes I have tmj, Temporomandibular joint disfuncion it’s painful, my dentist has made me numerous mouth bites, speak to your dentist, it does ease a bit, as I bite down without knowing it . Also try and manipulate your yaw. I hope it eases.

Thank you for your reply! It all makes sense now.Im off to the hospital Monday to get a mouth guard fitted.

I just never knew it was linked to fibo.

The jaw pain is incredible sore when it locks.

Hi Roscoe, I do get jaw pain. Sometimes I wonder if it was a symptom of heart attack. But now I think it’s fibromyalgia related

Yes I have bruxism, I have a tooth guard to protect my teeth but they said they can't do anything about the teeth grinding and pain.

Hi, yes me too. I also thought it is something with my teeth so I had it checked and also had 3Dscan. It is Fibro related. I know it can be very painful.

Hello, I have tmj which causes pain down my left side. This seems to be the epicentre of my fibro. Mine started from an infected saliva gland which sent me into hospital for 2 weeks at the start of the fibro. I have worn a mouthguard every night as my teeth clamp and my tongue thrusts - yay! The mouthguard is expensive - lasts about 2 years but worth it. Take care:)

Hello do you get pain "on the same side" in your eye and temple, sometimes a feeling and of fullness, pain in your ear especially your ear canal, and sometimes a painful scalp. I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia by a neurologist here is a website to check it out. Hope you are having a better day.

Hi , Yes I have had terrible jaw pain for the last 8 years the pain is off the scale, I’ve had mouth guards but they haven’t helped at all in fact they made it worse I just live with it now . I put a hot damp cloth on my jaw and that’s the only thing that helps .

Hi Rosco14, I have jaw pain permanently, some days it’s just a nagging pain others it’s a absolute agony and I can’t close my teeth together; taking Pregabalin and Mirtazapine, still trying to get on an even keel but struggling, apparently it’s a condition that runs as alongside Fibromyalgia in many people x

Yes I've been suffering for months and been in agony. My dentist referred me to the hospital and the specialist I saw last week was wonderful. I had a ct scan done,a head x-ray and a new mouth guard is being made. The problem I now have is its been so severe that my jaw alignment is now out. Hope you get it sorted x

Yes! It’s like my little alert that I’ve over done it and need to rest. It’s possible the most uncomfortable pain I’ve experienced- like an electric shock x

Oh no! I use heat to help and if I can lay down to take any pressure off my neck and spine which is where I think the pain stems from. Xx

I do have pain in my lower jaw. I grind my teeth at night so have had a mouth guard for a few years. I wear it overnight. Acupuncture treatments could help to ease your pain. Maybe worth a try? Take care
