Does anyone else have trouble with the cold and damp

I come to hate cold damp days they my joints and muscles stiff.. pain is always worse on those days I was wondering if anyone else had found that too . I have to work out what happens to me when I have a flare up as they have been minor until now with maybe a day or a few hours of aches and pain and the need to sleep. I have noticed that they are getting more often and lasting longer and the affects are changing still very tired and my joints and muscles hurt but my brain feels like cotton wool my hubby says he knows when the flare ups are starting because I retreat into myself and become very quiet. I know everyone is going to experience it slightly differently but is this something others are going through

Hi I'm exactly the same! Soon as the weather changes I feel more aches and pains and I just feel tired, been napping on the days I feel like this. My partner can also tell as he said something similar to me. I have an oversized hoodie blanket and as soon as I can feel the weather changing even slightly I will get wrapped up, I can always feel the aches and pains creeping back in. I also have to have 2 hot baths a day so it doesn't affect me too much. Crap isn't it?! Really not looking forward to winter ❄️😑

Thank you for your reply it is amazing how good it feels just to hear their are people out their that understand. How I am feeling I was sent to the hospital and given the diagnose and leaflet and that was that I read the leaflet and thought ok I can cope with this but their are days when I just struggle but I have the most wonderful hubby very understanding and supportive

Yeah luckily my fiancé is understanding, but I think he does get a little annoyed on the days I feel like I can't do anything, because one minute I can feel fine and the next minute I feel terrible and struggle with the housework, I think he finds it had to fully understand if you get me. Sometimes I'll even sit with the hairdryer on me to warm me up 😂 but cold and damp together just makes me feel really rubbish and achey! Yeah I was given a print out, and glad I found this site too to see that we're not alone! X

I live in Hawaii, at high elevation, so it is usually warm and nice, but a couple weeks ago a storm came and I could barely walk! First time I have experienced that. My chiropractor told me people move down to lower elevations for relief all the time.

I understand that very well I still work full time since the pandemic and working full time from home has been great has I can eat lunch at my desk and have nap for my 30 minute break which has helped me cope and because I have found this site I now know others have the same problems which helps me

Oh yes, damp and cold make me most unpleasant as I get amazingly grumpy, as everything aches more and the grey sky just makes me want to hibernate!

I have now been saying for years that im a better weather predictor than the meteorologists, Im usually in pain 24/48 hours before the rain arrives I believe its to do with the baromic pressure etc

Not so much bothered by the cold since I feel like a red hot poker most of the time. But I don't like that wet sticky damp feeling you get when the temperature sinks a bit and you get all clammy. Time for a nice shower, a couple of tablets and nice clean fresh feeling pyjamas.

Hi....yes cold and damp are not good....I am worse when it is windy though! It plays with my vestibular migraine and dizziness. I have invested in good thermal underwear to keep the cold out......not glamorous but I would rather not be cold!😀
