Lower cranial dull ache, ear fullness just makes me feel rotten

This started November time. My head started to feel full with pressure. My ears feel fizzy. The lowest part of the skull (cranial base) feels arching all across then up across my ears My neck feels are though its not part of my head - no throbbing or shooting pain. GP thought it was ear issue but now they havent been able to help and say its fibro. Rest of my body not too bad. Ive started on Duloxtine and hoping this may help. Making me very miserable and off balance. Been doing some neck exercises. I went to Osteopath and spent a fortune which didnt do anything to benefit. Im also clenching my jaw in my sleep but I think this has started more recently. Any help on this? Im taking vit D. At a loss. Thanks

Sounds painful and annoying. Clenching your teeth in your sleep can lead to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) issues - which cause a lot of the symptoms you’re describing.

Look up TMJ pain and see what you think. If it sounds familiar, you might be better off chatting with your dentist than your doctor.

Hope you feel better soon x

Im thinking of Myofascial pain syndrome. I did have a small mouth guard before but I just couldnt wear it at night

Honestly, give your dentist a ring. They should be able to do a quick telephone consultation and offer some advice.

Hi yea I suffer a lot with the top of my spinal column going into my head pain, aches can then go to my left side and my ear feels like you described. The year pain I’ve had for years before I was ever heard of fibro !!! Which in always think is interesting was the fibro lying dormant. Nice to hear from you

Hi, sorry to hear about your problem, did you use a cranial osteopath or just osteopath, if not it might be worth seeing one. Hope you feel better soon. X

Hi sounds similar to me I've had problems for a year I was treated for ear infection it wasnt that I went to dentist it wasnt anything to do with teeth or jaw I was seeing a physiotherapist at the time for my hand and mentioned this she did examine my neck and back but I was in pain she gave me some exercises which made it worse so I googled the muscles in neck and I feel I've found what it is as when I read up on it its every single symptom I have it effects head eyes throat ears nose shoulders etc maybe check it out online search sternocleidomastoid syndrome. It may not be but I'd say take a look my last telephone appointment with physiotherapy I told her I'd looked up and that everything points to that she referred me to pain management for further tests
