Hi I have pain like a stabbing ache on my back as above. Is this a fibro thing pls, I’ve had it for 3 months now and chest X-ray and CAT scan show nothing sinister. Thanks

Bilateral pain below scapulars
Hi Wraysbury
Ok after looking up bilateral and scapular 😂 I have this pain its always there sometimes when at its peak I just have to lay down surrounded with body pillows and it will ease.
I have had various scans, X-rays and same as you CT scans even a heart scan nothing showed up.
I guess it’s the fibromyalgia 😔
Panda 🐼💜
Thanks. That’s really helpful. 😊Sorry, for the lingo, I’m a nurse!! That’s what I thought, and you have described it exactly, yes they queried my heart too and suggested an ECG, but because of COVID they’re leaving that for now. I’ll just get on with it.
fibro pain can affect any area of your body - so if all tests have come back clear, then it might be a fibro pain. I get a lot of back pain as part of my fibro - which can vary as to where exactly on my back it is from day to day x
I have this too, no one ever gives me scans though! Sent to physio where they gave me exercises. I have fibro but to be honest I think it comes from the hypermobility I have, but then thats common with fibro aswell.
Me too.... Shoulders sometimes get to "screech" level.
I think it's more likely to be about stress and posture over keyboards as non fibro friends get it too. Exercise, the right keyboard posture and hot water bottles /deep heat/massage are helpful to me.
Yep, my old daily back exercises are good, but not enough anymore, I have to do yoga for upper, middle & lower back most days...
