Pain pain and more pain
I wake up every 60 to 90 minutes with muscle stiffness and pain. Its been like that for two years now. My pain isn't very well controlled. Everyone will be different. My GP gave me sleeping tablets to use cautiously. Not to use more than two a week. I might take one occasionally and sleep for four hours. Even though i've not achieved it. it is important to try and control pain if its waking you up all the time. When it goes on for a long period you end up with insomnia.
Sometimes!!I have only had 2 bad flares in 17years,Both times I presented at A&E for help..I was put on a drip of strong liquid paracetamol and given a further appt with rheumatologist..if your pain relievers not helping then don't suffer that's what the emergency room is there for..hope you feel better after a visit..
Yes it happens to me frequently has been for a few years it's always been put down to other thing especially the hips I had bilateral hip replacements due to osteoarthritis and they kept telling me it happens as results of surgery they did give it a name but can't remember my neck they said it's spondylitis . I have a family history of arthritis most of them have had to have new joints at young ages plus I'm a nurse they said 25 years of lifting etc diddnt help the arthritis. I've recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia . I have found by doing aqua in pool as often as I can I get help to dress if I get stuck or just drive home in bathers and dressing gowns . It has helped me I do feel better plus met more people so not so isolated . Since the weather changed the pain has got worse waking me up a few times in night then you need a wee lol even putting my feet on floor to walk down to the look hurts . I have tried everything from heat to cold patches and oral analgesia tens machine nothing has worked I'm lucky my kids grown up so no one to look after so I can rest in day without being made to feel guilty . Good luck if you find something that works please tell us I will try anything . The other thing I tried was mindfulness sounds a bit hippy dippy but it worked for the stress and anxiety which in turn helped with muscle spasms but it needs to be done regularly and takes a little practice . Xxxx
Yes all the time. Take Amatriptylin at night it sometimes helps get you over to sleep.
