Sorry me again.

Did anyone notice before they were diagnosed that they lost weight due to being in pain and not understanding the cause?

Thanks

Hi there, no I never lost weight but can understand why some people do. I'm a comfort eater. I did lose a lot of weigh due to depression which was brought on by the fibro. But as we know there is more to fibro than just pain. Some have a lot less pain but suffer from IBS, lack of sleep etc.

To lock a post you do it at the start of a new post. Before you hit the post button. You will see O O tick the second 0 to this community only. That will lock your post.

I hope this help 😊

Hi there, hope you are keeping well. Just wanted to know how you check your post locked?...,im quite a private person and only want to keep with this (lovely) group.

Hi Kezza, if you have followed the instructions. After you post your new post look at the header. You will see a little lock icon next to your header text. If you look at this one for example there is no icon this means anyone can read not only what is wrote but all the replies. That's why the onus is on the poster to lock their post and not those who reply.

But it is not a rule for anyone to lock their post it's just a suggestion. But I do advocate members to do it :)

Hi yes I did . Was in a flare. And couldn’t eat without feeling or been sick. When I’m in pain I don’t want to eat. I eat snacks just so can take my meds .

I have under active thyroid as well as diabetes and the fibromyalgia (few other issues too) for a long time I was putting on weight...then my gall bladder stopped working causing me to loose a lot of weight just couldn't eat without pain...did start going up again after that...think at my heaviest I was 11 stone...then the diabetes got worse and was put on metaformin but was allergic to that so started on a new tablet that turns sugar into water (and no it didn't make me pee more) but I started loosing weight rapidly...just under 9 stone now...mind you my appetite is up and down...I often only have one main meal a day and may just have something light if I'm really hungry which isn't often...ive always had a bad relationship with food (not the over eating but the under eating side of things) now I find my blood sugars drop too low...im not great at managing any of the conditions I have at all...there is no real help either.

Thank you for all the lovely replies. I've lost 3 stone in 5 months. I think it been mainly stress and worry to be honest. But it doesnt seem to be slowing down. I was big to start with 18 stone so gp just keeps saying it's a good thing. My throyid has gone overactive too which isnt helping x
