Does anyone have diarrhea and vomiting with a flare or am I just an odd duck?

My diarrhea is I think my IBS. Psyllium with little water helps with that. (And homeopathic nux vomica when I'm nauseous.)

Our bodies are strange things. I only get D&V if I've eaten something my bod doesn't like (such as a hidden gluten in a processed food dish). That could on occasions spark a flare up session. One reason I nearly always cook from scratch, and use cornflour for thickening sauces etc.

The thing that really puts me in a flare up is trying to do too much house and garden work. I have to do a little, then rest for half an hour or so, then I can get up, ease the stiffness and do some more. After 12 years, I've finally got the hang of it! :)

We each react differently to things, what my body doesn't accept is probably not the same as yours. This is one of the things that makes Fibro so complex and drives GPs up the wall!

Cheers, Midori

Thanks Midori. I have a real tendency to work beyond my capacity and deal with a lot of work related stress too. I’ve been really lax about the diet too. A binge might have set off this attack. Sometimes I look for comfort in food😣😣.

It helps to know I’m not alone. Right now I’m dealing with another migraine.

I get it, too. I don't know if it is related to IBS or overwork or stress or what, but I sure end up with it a lot!

It’s not supposed to be a symptom of ibs but I don’t buy that. I’ve thrown up from ibs problems or come close to since I was 20 and I’m 70 now. I know it can be part of fibro too along with a bunch of other stuff. Oh joy ain’t life wonderful!

I'm an odd duck too, I have IBS and have to take an anti nausea med as soon as I get up in the morning.

Weird this fibromyalgia business. I supposedly also have IBS, but I am 'normally' constipated, have a swollen abdomen and stomach, feel nauseus and have a lot of right sided pain. I think we get labelled with fibro when they can't find what the actual problem is, but maybe that is just me!
