Hi there! Nice to meet you.

Yes!!! That's my answer. Go and see your Dr. You should be referred to a rheumatologist, who is the specialist who generally diagnoses Fibro.

Fingers crossed it all goes well for you 🐸

Hi LouBaker & welcome ☺ your symptoms sound like Fibro Symptoms but so many other things have very similar symptoms so this is why you need to go to doctors. As Sorebones says , he will refer you to a specialist better able to diagnose Fibro, if that's what it is.

Why should you feel like your wasting his time ? That's what he's there for and if you feel as you say, it's important to go and see what he thinks.

I wish you good luck

Peace, luv n light

Thankyou 😊 My doctor doesn't come across as very understanding and doesn't look interested in what I've got to say! But will go this week will keep everyone posted xx

Sadly a lot of doctors are like this and it good idea to take someone with you and be assertive. Even write down all your symptoms and how you feel so you don't forget things. I think it helps

Hope it goes well

The doctors are great but unless you got Fibro Yourself. No one can really know how you really feel :-)

Hi Loubaker, definately go to the doctors, its very important to ascertain what is wrong, i know that a lot of doctors believe we are malingerers, because they do not having the adequate training for this condition. i also believe that they worry that certain conditions will cost their practice/clinic money, and lets face facts everything is about money now not the person. Try and book a double appointment as this will give you longer to explain in detail all of your symptoms, the usual appointment is frankly not long enough to explain everything, and with this condition, it needs to be explained fully. welcome, keep your chin up. gentle hugs xx

Hi there

I would definitely make a routine appointment to see your GP. However, in my personal opinion it is not a good idea to tell your doctor what you think you have. Doctors really don't like that.

Due to the fact that Fibromyalgia mimics lots of other illnesses these need to be ruled out before a diagnosis can be given.

Good luck

Hi Lu I got around sounding like i was telling him that i thought it was fibro by asking his advice on if it could be fibro. His answer was no but would send me to see a neuro to make sure. :P

Hi Loubaker

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling and as your other respondents have said, it would probably be best to go and discuss this with your GP. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

I was refer to a Pain Management and after MRI's and different procedures i had the symptoms of Fibro and Nerve damages. I wish you the best with your Dr's Appt. Take care and feel better. :)
