Hi there, i was finally diagnosed with Fibro in 2005 .Abdominal problems began in 2009-three years of monitoring CA125-and all clear re ovarian cancer -as a result GP assumed IBS but never had symptoms.Discovered I had gallstones in 2013 -by seeing a private GP as own refused scans -and worsening abdominal symptoms since-so for me no as Fibro definitely came first.

Hi rainbow did you have gall bladder removed? If gall stones found on scan but are asymptomatic very often they are better left alone.many times when gall bladder is removed in those instances further stomach issue arise from its unnecessary removal and it gives more problems thru not having it there!

I know alot of us have IBS often before fibro developed I think for many digestive problems go hand in hand with fibro unfortunately.x

I have problems with digestion and gallstones, I am closely monitored and would suggest anyone with new symptoms to get seen quickly, I ignored mine to the point where it was almost too late, not sure it is fibro related and I think the danger lies with us thinking everything is down to fibro, sorry if I've gone on a bit. xx

Yeah I had my appendix and gallbladder removed in 2011 after suffering from severe abdominal pains, vomiting and feeling like crap since 2006. I was told there was nothing wrong and it was ibs or constipation causing the pain and vomiting. I was vomiting several times a day and my weight dropped to 6stone 10....after having my severely infected appendix out and my gallbladder removed within 6 weeks of each other in 2011 I was feeling the best I had felt in years for about 5 months post surgeries then my m.e and fibro symptoms began in 2012. The dr said that if my appendicitis had been picked up when it first became a problem then I would still have my gallbladder....he said that the fibro and m.e have been caused by my body trying to fight the infection for so Iong that it has started to attack itself xxx

May or may not be at all related.

My gallbladder was removed some 20 years ago 15 yrs before my cfs diagnosis.

I'm not sure it's related
