UTI and wider pain?

I know that FM comes with a higher risk of UTIs but has anyone else had pains in a wider area eg in the buttocks and the legs as well as groin and lower back? I just started a course of antibiotics yesterday so waiting for them to work. I spoke to doctor on phone yesterday and he said to come in if they’ve not worked within 48 hours. They're making me feel a bit lousy which is to be expected, I guess. If they get rid of the pains then it will be worth it.

Hi FoggyMoggy

Yes I get sharp pains in the buttocks - so much so that it has me leaping up screeching in pain, much to the amusement of my colleagues. Have to say it’s the only time I seem to be able to get up or off a chair without help. Every cloud I suppose😂. The pains I get in groin are related to my arthritic hips. Luckily hardly ever get UTIs so my buttock pain isn’t related. Hope the pain eases soon.

Thanks for replying Dinkie . It seems to be moving in the right direction and less pain today so far (touch wood hastily).

Sorry about your buttock pain but glad you can see the humorous side! We need lashings of humour in this game :)

Wishing you all the best and as pain-free a week as possible!

I known as a joker- matrons-Mags and myself used to post regularly with jokes and humour. Must try and encourage her out again for a bit of fun. Normally it’s the insomniacs club
