My Consultant at Pain Clinic tell me the above are only prescribed for people with neuropathic conditions. It is still argued wether Fibro, should come under the auspices of Rheumatology or Neuro/ie Phsycological ilness.
Any views on this. Hope today and life is on the up for you, x
We consider Fibro to be neurological. Rheumatologists traditionally see the most Fibro patients because 1, it was used to be thought that Fibro was rheumatological and 2, ruling out rheumatological conditions is a big part of diagnosing Fibro. But many (most?) neurologists are not aware of this. There are plenty of rheumatologists and other non-neuro doctors carrying out neurological research into Fibro around the world.
I have tried them, I friend us to take it for ms, doc,s will not give it to fibro patients, it did work for me and I wish we could get it off doc,s, ask doc,s about it, the more we shout scream we might be able to get them change their minds x
Hi, I just joined today I'm a fellow fybro sufferer and have psoriatic arthritis and am prescribed Nabilone (cannaboid) it really helps, but you have to go down the route of trying everything else first and yes it does help take the edge off pain. You can only be prescribed it through a pain clinic though xxx
