Has anyone been prescribed Sativex or nabilone for symptoms of MS without a diagnosis? I take morphine and it no longer seems effective Plus GP wants me off it, I don’t want pain patches again and the above meds are too expensive privately.

Nabilone for chemotherapy patients Many people having chemotherapy will have periods where they feel sick or vomit. Nabilone can be prescribed by a specialist to help relieve these symptoms, but only when other treatments have not helped or are not suitable.

This is a randomized placebo-controlled, double-blind, parallel-group, enriched enrollment randomized withdrawal study assessing the efficacy and safety of nabilone for non-motor symptoms in patients with Parkinson´s Disease.

Please has anyone in this group taken Nabilone capsules before for the treatment of severe nerve pains ? What was your experience? Did it help in relieving the pain? How much did it impact on your sleep?

I'm still sore if I don't take my nabilone, but I can live with that!  Anyway, I'm trying to be back. Perhaps I ought to be front, too? xxx Bats

I've started taking cisamet (also called nabilone and something even more unpronounceable) and it's working on my pain. I'm a little floaty today, so I'll probably start taking it a little earlier in the day, but it's quite astonishing to have the pain just...vanish.

Nabilone is a synthetic drug that will try to fool my brain and has many side effects some that could be quite serious to myself.

I have taken NABILONE for pain relief for some years. I seem to be the only person I know who uses this, and because it is off license, my GP refuses to prescribe it. As a result, I get it through the Hospital Pharmacy, about 3 times annually. Is any-one else using it for pain?

For a while a few years ago I was given nabilone for my TS. As it was a while ago and during a particularly bad year for the tics I can't remember much about it!

My Consultant at Pain Clinic tell me the above are only prescribed for people with neuropathic conditions. It is still argued wether Fibro, should come under the auspices of Rheumatology or Neuro/ie Phsycological ilness. Any views on this. Hope today and life is on the up for you, x
