One of mine is Burns

"Lang may yer lum reek wi stolen coal"

Or in other word

Long may your chimney smoke with coal of the beach

As the pit owners had made it illegal to collect coal waste that may wash up on the beach from loading ships or dumping the spillage from mining.

Churchill, " it is no use saying, we are doing our best, you have got to succeed in doing what is necessary." ☺

Hi Bobcut

Another Churchill If a men has enemies its a good thing

It means at least once in his life he stood up for something he believed in

He was a very deep thinker as as a great motivator

Yes Churchill, he seemed to believe what he was saying, it appeared genuine as though he was giving a piece of himself in every word he spoke. ☺

in reply to bobbybobb

Hi

Churchil was that great believer he did some remarkable stuff in bore wars then got a bit shafted politically as he did after the war been chatting with Lynn a first for me.

New year in Scotland traditional first footers bring a lump of coal & should be dark haired & handsome 😂😂

A man has a dream Martin Luther King x

Hi shy Max 😊🌿🌸🦋

Thank you soooo very much for that touching song. I do love it.

No...this world is too full of Evil. As long as self serving people and greed are placed above the welfare of humanity and this damaged planet we live on it will not survive.

It’s heartbreaking to face this truth.

What do you think about it??

Love and prayers.

in reply to honeybug

Hi I prey I may be wrong but Greed rules so many heart less souls and greed always wants more its such a shame. Power money and greed have no Soul of worth.

We do need people at the helm of life its just the greed people pull the string and corrupt.

Bob Dylan

All those of you who must obey authority

That they do not respect in any degree

who despise their job their destiny

Speak jealously of those that at free

Do what they do just to be

Nothing more than something they invest in. xxx

I was Born and raised in the forces I salute your brave country men for their sacrifice.

Its a great song that version gives me tears every time.

Love to you across the water

I gazed upon the images of those brave men and women and wondered how many made it back home.

How many were able to live a productive life and how many succumbed to the torment of their service.

My hubby never saw action but the experience destroyed at least 30 years of our lives.

He was a homebody and forced to leave this country in war time it left him scarred.

Had he seen action and survived to come home he never would have recovered.

I think of all who served and were lost in wars that were abandoned and how those precious lives were sacrificed for naught. It breaks my heart.

I’m proud of everyone who serves every day. Their sacrifice is what gives us our privilege of Freedom; which Ihas the most expensive price tag.

I hold them all close to my heart.

EJ 😊🙏🤗💖😘🌿🌸🦋🕊

in reply to honeybug

I think the pictures were all of souls that never made it home to loved ones.

Such a crime.

Such great Great sacrifice for our freedom so true

Peace be the order of the day and I prey the world may be a better place for the global enemy we all now face .

Love to you and yours

Yes we do need compassionate strong leaders. Those who care about others and what’s best for countrymen/women nations and planet.

Pity some of us don’t have that anymore.
