Really need to get back to work.

Hi, yes a flare up will leave you feeling worse than usual. Sometimes it will be my pain that has increased, other times it's fatigue ..... Occasionally both (which are the flares that really floor me) xxx

Yep! I've been off work for 5 weeks. I am now beginning to have more days when I feel more well, but I'm signed off for another 2 weeks still and I don't yet know when I will actually go back to work. I work full time and there have been a few days in the last week or so when I felt I could have been at work for a few hours - but not full time and not reliably, as the next day I could feel really ill again.

I've had some days where I just feel really ill, in addition to the pain and exhaustion, and I've been having lots more headaches and migraines than usual.

I try to do something every day, I like to get out of the house even if just to a local shop. I swim and I walk when I feel I can, even if it takes until the afternoon before I feel able to get dressed and go for a walk.

For me - I think I would be worse if I didn't. I get really stiff if I don't move and even when everything is under control, I have a stretching routine I have to do before I get out of the bed, every morning.

If I've been out in the morning I'm often on the sofa or in my bed (sitting, resting, not sleeping) for a few hours in the afternoon.

So yes, I know it's a flare up and I need to get back to work, like you. But I have to accept that I'm not reliably well enough to work at the moment. If I were to go back to work now, I'd soon be off work ill again. Thankfully I get paid, which is one less stress.

I know that we all find different things helpful - or not - so what works for me, may not work for you.

But, yes I can identify with how you feel - you are not alone.

I don't get paid when off which is another stress, husband tells me not to worry but I do but at same time I would not be able to work, just need to get my head around all of this

Yes I'm having flare up after flare up at the moment. Because I felt better on Saturday we took dogs to local river for their walk and went to garden centre, obviously that was to much and I'm now in worst flare up for a while. I didn't think I'd over done it but my body is saying otherwise.

I get alot of pain in arms Hips and legs. I have a heat bag on legs at mo.

I'm supposed to be a self employed cleaner but that's a laugh at mo.

Hopefully warmer months to come might help us both
