Skin changes in a flare up

hi all ,

I usually get obvious changes in my skin when I’m having a flare up .

I have had itchy feeling skin before but at the minute feels like it’s on another level 😕

my skin also feels like it’s burning but never really any colour change although the skin looks more ‘mottled’ and a feels bumpy/ crusty

does anyone else get this ?

I do constantly moisturise and it’s not like dry skin

I get something similar, I get pins and needles, hands go blotchy and they go like leather, really tight. They do actually swell up.

I sat at the table one day eating dinner and my Brother said “OMG Bro, look at your hands” they were very swollen and I looked like a character from a superhero movie 🤣🤣.

You’ve created a new superhero 🦸‍♂️ 🤣🤣I have raynauds and really suffer with my hands too when it’s cold I spend half the day running them under the hot water tap 🤦‍♀️

I quite often get a burning feeling on my face and scalp and occasionally on my hands. I ask my family whether my face is red and it rarely is. Sometimes it does feel bumpy and can have blotches. I just wait for the feeling to pass. ❤️

yeah my skin feels hot to touch but not red 😕

I get burning in my feet itching all over .

When I first had symptoms of fibro I also had rashes all down one side of my face. When I am in a fibro flare I get a rosecea flare too. The dermatologist prescribed some cream to help with the burning and dry crusty skin/spots that appear too. I also get patches of very dry skin on one arm - strangely enough the opposite side to the one sided face problem. Don't you just love fibro and the way it just keeps giving🙄
