Hi linn, I'm glad you've found something to help you. I've been taking valium on and off for many many years. But I'm just wondering how you have managed to increase from 5mg to 6mg if you don't mind me asking.

As far has im aware the pills only come in 2,5 or 10mg. I'm presuming your GP said it was ok to increase your medication? I only ask because with medication like valium it dosage needs to be monitored closely it can become addictive. Please be careful. I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening 😊

Hi Dizzytwo thx 4 your concern...I'm in the UK and the tabs come as 2mg 5mg or 10mg..I have like you been prescribed this drug for several years but I don't take it regularly therefore I have a few spare boxes that have built up over time...Also that was a mistake by me I meant i will stay on 5mg for a few days not 6mg...My GP gives me the freedom 2 adjust my dosage of certain meds.we have a good relationship..

Many Thanks..

Thank you for replying 😊 It was the 6mg that had me 🤔🤔

Glad they are helping you. These are the only prescribed medication I can tolerate and they help me a lot. Like you I don't take them every day so addiction is not a problem in my case xx

Hi there. Just thought I would join in. Been having a really rough spell lately and last two nights have resorted to taking diazepam 2mg at night, like you have had them prescribed once in a while, but only take them very occasionally when I am desperate. They have helped a bit in that I have had slightly more sleep. What I don't understand is the constant warnings about them being addictive, when the docs. dish out all the other drugs willy nilly, and from what I read on here, they are equally addicitive, and a nightmare to come off! Anyway, that's my two pennyworth, glad you feel a bit better!

I got a minuscule Valium prescription from my GP for me to take when I had an MRI. I think they were 5 mg and he let me have 3! What do you take yours for?

I take 5 - 10 mg daily and it’s fantastic, I’m hoping my doctor agrees to continue prescribing it for me. Pip x
