Itchy ?: Hi guys all liver kidney tests... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Itchy ?
Itchy...??? I get a very itchy head, like I have lice but I dont. But my hairdresser said its dehydration. Could that be the problem? Great news about the test results
Thanks Hun I just worry cos itchy skin could be liver or kidney problems but my tests are normal I'm just so worried I've got atleast 22 Symtoms my Rhumatologist appointment is 3rd match so hopefully il get diagnosed been waitting a year I drink loads of water so don't think so xxx how are u xx
You have my sympathy. I have only been itchy since I have fibro. That crawling feeling seems to be something alot of us suffer from and some days you feel as if you are going mad. It can be a side effect of meds but it appears from your post that you have ruled that out.
These feelings actually have a technical term and are called Formication and is the feeling of insects crawling across or underneath your skin. ... Formication can be a symptom of several conditions. These conditions include fibromyalgia.x
Thanks for peace of mind really does help my nervous anxious mind out I feel like I'm loosing plot I get pin prick sensations and I'm so so itchy xx no doubt it will pass and the other Symtoms will turn up xxx
Dear Lauren, I most certainly can confirm that fibromyalgia causes such irritation in the whole body, and I am always scratching! It does get severe too! Head to toe!
I find that aloe vera gel also helps the burning and the itching, so am never without it. Please try it. it seems to cool down the nerves. Strange, but it seems worse in the Winter, rather than the Summer. Love from Roselil
My lower legs get itchy scratchy sometimes. xx
Yes exactly xxxx horrible
Could you have an allergy to Oats ? They have a protein in them similar to gluten which can have itching as a side effect amongst other side effects.
Not to sure I don't think so x
Hi
Itching is horrible. I'm in fexofenadine 180mg , maybe you should have your bloods done. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
Thanks Hun all bloods normal so God knows ??fibroxxxx
Omg yes it is one of the issues you get with fibro and it is awful I have taken the skin off several times with scratching I have to get up and cream on most weeks so I do get an infection in the broken skin my inner ears become very itchy as well and usually end up with ear infection because of trying to get to the itch which I have now very painful
Me too !! But I do have many conditions one of which is compensated cirrhosis of the liver caused by meds from my drs over the years!! This also causes itching. I do find the fexofenadine does help a little. Take care Lynne
I get terrible itchiness and sometimes could rip my skin off
Thanks pAt hunni yes it's driving me insane xxx
My daughter swears by this routine when my granddaughters exzema flares up it always seems to soothe her itching even though she complains about getting in 'that dirty bath' 🙄I also get the itching and sometimes find that I can't pinpoint where it is so end up scratching all over to try and get rid of it xx
Yes exactly the same here I feel as though I have fleas 🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷❤️
Best to get it checked out. Might be something as simple as your washing powder.
I get very itchy, used to be all over, but now its just my legs as the fibro has improved - so I do think it maybe a fibro symptom as the itchiness got less the better the fibro got 😁
Yes itching was a big symptom for me. Gotta wear non itchy clothes. Wool? Aagh! Don't stress skin with too hot baths etc. Use minimal gentle soap shower gel. Avoid products with lots of perfume and unnecessary ingredients. Beware of getting skin too dry. Drink water. Is there a hormonal componant?
I thought so. Part of the PMS cycle? Whatever, it is irritating. Using a dilute cider vinegar rince for your scalp hair or in the bath can help. Calms the skin. And obviously, don't further irritate the skin by scratching.
Beware the scratch itch cycle. Some folks scratch when stressed and then need to keep scratching. Does it release histamine? I think so hence the crazy need to scratch.
Hi I'm on Fexofenadine tablets for years because of the itching got so bad still have it but much milder . Phyllis
Thanks been docs today they said they don't no what it is bit it's not liver and kidneys that was my biggest concern all bloods normal zxxx must be yet another Symtom of the mind baffling fibro x
