Itchy skin - heat

I have a number of ailments, hypothyroidism, ME/CFS, Menopause & Fibromyalgia so I don’t know which, if any, are causing my skin to itch so bad in the heat? I avoid the sun & use sunscreen which I thought would help but the itching is persistent. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi there, like you said it could be one or all your ailments or even your meds causing uour itch. Not to mention seasonal hayfever. If you can not speak to someone in your surgery. It may be a good idea to speak with your local pharmacist. Personally I would speak to a pharmicist but that's just my choice. I hope your itch eases down soon.

Thank you, I’ve posted on the other sites here too due to the various common ailments. Someone has mentioned heat hives so I’ll look into that a little more as I think heat is the trigger. 😊

Yes it could be heat hives. But if that is the reason. I am guessing you will still need to talk to a pharmicist to get something to treat it. With the heat we are told to expect I wouldnt delay to be honest xx

If you are in England there is a tube of tea tree cream you can buy that comes in a small box from home and bargains. It is incredibly soothing and cooling and really does stop itching. I get horrendously itchy contact dermatitis on my hands, so itchy it drives me to distraction and out of my mind. My fingers swell up and the itching of blisters/papules and hives drives me demented, wakes me from sleep in a complete out of my mind state from the hyper intense itching. Even seen me wind up in hospital from it and also with a broken finger from the itching so intense on it I broke it from the intense maddening twisting action from the itching trying to get relief No creams (many) prescribed by doctors help, actually some make the out of my mind itching even worse, but that white antiseptic tea tree cream from home and bargains stops it almost immediately. I hate the smell of tea tree, but the relief from that specific cream is 100% on my extremely damaged, blistered, inflamed, cracked open, weeping and bleeding hands. I am certain its benefits would be felt on other areas of the body that are intensely mind blowing lye itchy too when it flares up. Must be cream with cooling antiseptic qualities. Worth buying and trying if in England. May be sold in home and bargains in Wales and Scotland too.

I think I’ve seen quite a few people on here who suffer from unexplained itch, myself included. Mines appears periodically what seems like for no reason. I have tried antihistamines to no effect but you can buy e45 itch cream which will sooth and cool it. There is also a fantastic cream called cream come true from pure genius but there is a massive waiting list for it. Hope you find something that helps.

Yes E45 is also another miracle cream. Though it doesn't offer the cooling that tea tree cream does, but the smell of E45 itch cream is undetectable in comparison to the medicinal smell of tea tree. I have both, but had forgotten I've also got the E45 cream as us the tea tree cream more often.

There is a online company called Lyonsleaf that make natural creams for the skin. I have in desperation bought from them. And their creams do help a lot. A little goes a long way with there's, The cream is inside small tins or larger tins. Thats uup to the individuals own personal preference to purchase.

I promise that isn't dirt in my fingernail. It's dark nailpolish spill that won't remove.
