Itchy earholes
Mine are both terrible. On the ears front I have eczema too in there and so when i itch it compacts it - have to have them syringed every 2-3 months cos get infected.
Sometimes, it's so annoying.
I keep forgetting too.. then they become sore. I used to ask gp to look in there fore me and he could never see anything until one day he took a swab. I had thrush in my ears.
Hi spirit, i have same as you also, having my ears syringed every 3 months, It s so frustrating especially when you are told there,s nothing more we can do, basically get on with it, after 12yrs i,m kind of getting used to this phrase. I also have eczema of the ears coupled with rhinitus and sinusitus, maybe you suffer this too as you know its all connected. Modern medicene eh
I have the same thing. Drives me mad. I take anti-histamine daily but still get the itchy eyes and ears. My eyes are probably worst, they will start to itch and then water but it burns my eyes and so they close up and water more...Have had to pull the car over on many occasions as have tears pouring from my eyes so I could not see to drive. They are then delicate for 3-4 hours.
Hi. I had problems with my eyes about 15 years ago shortly after getting Fibromyalgia. I had some tests at the hospital and it turned out I had dry eye syndrome which sometimes goes hand in hand with Fibro. as I have found out since. Just a thought you may wish to consider. Best Wishes
I get itchy ears all the time and have for some years if I am honest..long before I was diagnosed with FMS...hmm wondering if this has a link to FMS ? I never gave it a thought before...However, I am always getting ear infections where my hearing is badly affected .
It has to be another symptom then. Some of these "little" symptoms don't get a mention do they? but they are significant causing irritation and pain to a lot of us
My eyes burn most of the time so I use an eye spray I got from Boots which helps a bit, My whole skin burns too. I am taking lots of pain killers especially at night which eases it a bit. Now I am smouldering (no not like that sadly) rather than doing a Jeanne D'Arc. Lots of love
Ooh. I am going to my doctor and ask him if he can prescribe tears for me. My eyes burn too. I might go and ask the optician what I can do, I know they will want to charge, but if I can get them to refer me to my doctor, then I will have something to work on.
I have had itchy right ear for 18 years I was first diagnosed with eczema and then thrush. Its so painful and annoying. I have recurring ear infections and at one time one of my ears closed up and had to be hospitalised for 5 days with an intravenous drip for antibiotics. I am sure its connected to the FM because our immune system cannot cope with fighting infections etc.
I believe so too. Fibro is responsible for so much
i get itchy ears a lot but never gave it too much thought , but my eyes mainly my right one has been so painful and my vision has been affected , when i told my gp he said see your optician . he did lots of tests on me and said its the fm it effects the muscles behind our eyes , and dry eye syndrome i think he said . he sold me systane eye drops , when i went back to my gp i asked him to add it to the cocktail of drugs hes already prescribed. i really do hope someone , somewhere is working on 1 tablet cures all symptoms of fm
I had thought about mentioning it to the optician, I have been told before Ihave dry eyes. I will mention it to the gp when I next go there, thanks for responding floozy. The older I get the more symptoms I develop! does it ever stop at some point?
