Hi

I think you should your family and friends this forum and maybe take one if them with you to your next appointment and ask your consultant to explain things to them, maybe they would sit up and take notice then!! love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Hi 👋 At 55 I can relate to the bed issue as I am very familiar with mine. 🛌However, this is not a sign you are useless and/or a burden to your family. It is just your way of coping with this illness. We all used to be stronger and could do lots of things but we have to adapt and just do what we can at a much slower pace. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, it’s just the way we are. You are only 53 and have years of love, joy and laughter ahead of you ( with a bit of pain on the side) . Keep going and perhaps see your doctor again and explain what is going on. Good luck Hun and think of all the lovely things in your life, like family. Big hugs 🤗. Xxx

healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., morning, it’s tough as most of us know how fibro can change your life so much, even if it’s 20 minutes making a dinner, putting out the washing, just do small things when you can , your family will know you are doing what you can when you can, I found when I went through this I was constantly thinking about what I could not do and it was wearing me out even more, as I was constantly beating myself up, speak to your doctor again about the medication your on, it was a change for me that has settled me down completely as had anxiety/depression, after trial and error this has made such a difference. If you have a good support network behind you that will help, empathy and understanding is what we need, amd when you feel like it have a chat here with people that understand, I found reading other peoples stories/experiences helped , i didn’t realise how many thousands suffered from this awful condition, stay in touch with your doctor/practitioner nurse they can monitor how you are doing and sometimes a change in medication could improve your depression, I am in my fifties so I completely understand xx
