I have fibro, pmr and a bad back. Recently diagnosed with two back fractures. Yesterday and today my hips were hurting to the point of being painful to walk. I assumed it was the fracture causing all the pain. Today it was so bad in my hips I got to wondering if it could be pmr. I took 1mg more prednisone and within two hours all that particular pain disappeared. Go Figure! ):
It gets so frustrating to keep it all figured out.

I'm so sorry you are in so much pain. Maybe go to drs or a and e. I have many conditions causing pain. I was told I had fibro but then the nurse at my surgery said I had polymyalgia rheumatics so now I'm not sure!! Thinking if you. Please take care of yourself Lynne
I've never been prescribed it, I'm going to ask what's on file next time I'm at the drs. I seem to have symptoms for both! How are you feeling tonight? Take care Lynne
Thankyou so much for taking the time to read and comment on my post.
I also wanted to say I'm sorry that you're in so much pain and having to deal with the back fractures on top of Fibro and it must be so confusing. I hope they're keeping an eye on this and how it must be impacting you.
I think Oldham is right that if it's really unmanageable, you should seek urgent medical attention and explain the situation.
Hi I've had the trifecta too but thankfully back fusion has dealt to the back pain..... until fibro picks that spot for its playground. I am often in your position trying to work out what illness is having a flare up and my rule of arthritic thumb says if it goes with pred, then it's likely to be PMR having a party and I up my pred dose for a few days and try to come down to my previous dose. As we are so different, learn what's best for you to help you get back on top again. 🤣
healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., I do hope your appointment goes okay at the spine centre. It’s horrid being in pain , I found out awhile back I had a slight fracture in my lower back, it does tend to hurt more with the damp weather, having a soak in the bath helps and during the day if it’s uncomfortable I use a rub in pain relief gel , I found my hot water bottle gives me comfort too if I bend a lot.
