Whenever I get any other illness, ie infection/ear/throat/chest my fibromyalgia pains disappear, its like my body can only cope with one condition at a time, does anyone else have the same thing ?

pains stop when other illness arrive
It could be that the other illness takes your mind off your fibro for a bit. It could also be that say a virus makes you slow down (well my latest virus has literally brought me to a stop, lol) so we are having alot more rest which probably suits our fibro better.x
Hi no I seem to still have my conditions as well as say the cold etc ..... maybe when one illness kicks off it kind of gives you more pain so you don’t notice the others. Hope that makes sense lol. Wishing you a well 2020 xx
I'm the opposite, any other type of infection or illness tends to set me off into a flare xxx
Yes I have had an awful cold /cough for the past 9 days - feel absolutely terrible - slept and slept - but fibromyalgia seems better ??
Neese. x
None of my Fibro symptoms change, they stay the same or get worse but they don't improve. x
healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., hello there, if I get anything like a viral bug , cold etc my fibro pain seems to go up unfortunately, but it could be your mind is on that more as sometimes we can catch some nasty stuff and our fibro bodies then struggle more (if that makes sense) xx, ps I’ve posted a link if you would like to lock your posts then only our community can see and gives yourself and members more privacy.
It's true, when somebody is injured the pain is often only felt in the most severe injury, at least in the first hours. The nervous system gets overwhelmed and so concentrates on one injury.
I have deffinatly noticed this, thought I was the only one. Also seems to happen around the time of the month. I really feel as though my body/mind can only put one thing on me at a time. I tend to feel worse with illnesses ect. than I did before though and my pain levels go right up after I'm better so it's not all good!
