Hi. Im wondering if anyone has leg problems like me. When i go to bed i have restless leg but for months, if i lay on my right side my leg feels as though its burned. So sore i cant stand it. Im constantly trying to find cold sheets. I struggle to settle and sleep. Ending up on top of the bed. The constant tiredness is bad enough but this is crazy,

R.L.S is an awful experience for bad sleep,, I used to get it often, I now have a gentle stretching regime at night on leg muscles, I have found in the past two paracets calm it down.

healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., this be so annoying/painful when you try and get some sleep, stretching like nurse Gladys has said could be helpful, I have also heard of people buying this weighted blankets for this type of thing, does having a warm relaxing bath before bed any help ? Cold damp chilly January/February months not always very nice with our conditions and fibro as well, if you would like to lock your posts there is a link above, this can normally generate more responses from members as only our community can see, wondering when you next go to your doctors surgery give this a mention , in the meantime take care xx

I have had restless legs for a long time 20 odd years, My hubby says I wake him up when my legs are out of the bed up the wall on windowsill, my legs are hot so in and out the bed constantly when I am asleep.. My arms started to join in about 12 yrs ago ..my dr put me on tablets which sometimes works I think.. depending on my sleep patterns My father had it too.. he was a Policeman and walked many a mile ..I used to walk all the time when I was younger...The thing is my dad has chronic pain and depression like me and Fibro..so may be all connected..at 64, I have now given up on trying to self analyse my symptoms and put it all down to fibro...I also get a lot of chronic pain all over but my right side around lower ribcage is the worsed..at the moment I have a trapped nerve in my shoulder..so all other pain does seem to subside as if the brain is pointing at the shoulder and nowhere else..

I had it too until I started taking Nortriptyline. Worked like magic.

Oh Hun, I had the same issues and it turned out to be burcitus for which I now have cortisone injections for. A simple scan can give a diagnosis.

Only issue now is it's also in my other hip and my right shoulder, so I'm beginning to look like a pun cushion lol.

All I will say is don't allow any appointments to lapse as you're off the books immediately, so now in process of trying to get another referral, which is taking months! Good luck x

Hi Dancer5

I started with R.L.S about 15yrs ago, was on and off for years, until Feb 2017, it started every night in my left leg, then within a month, my right leg, by May 2017, I had it in legs, arms, tummy and periodically, in my face!! I lived on about 2hrs sleep per night, then in March 2018, I was put on Ropinirole, which helped greatly, just getting slight feelings, if I didn't fall asleep fast enough, but could still sleep with it, then in Oct 2019, I was in hospital for a week with gastroenteritis, they did blood tests, and turned out, my body wasn't absorbing vitamin B12, I had to have 2wks of B12 injections, I now have these injections every 3 months for the rest of my life but, for the last 3wks, I've had no, R.L.S! R.L.S is one symptom of low B12, so ask your Dr if you can have a blood test to check your levels, as it doesn't come in routine blood tests!

I hope this helps, and I hope you get to the bottom of your R.L.S soon.

Take care x
