Don't put on any heirs and graces, if you have someone who can be there with you, then let them make the tea, open the door when the assessor knocks. Don't overestimate what you can do, and more importantly, don't underestimate what you can't do

Just be yourself, write down all the things you want them to know as you you can forget when nervous. Let them know your worst days. Good luck

Have somebody with you if you can that's the best advice I got given. I mix my words up when anxious so was good to have my partner and daughter there to fill in the gaps good luck!

When they assessed my wife at home she dressed in her bad day clothes. Things that are easy to get on and off. Hopefully you have someone with you? As this does help. Remember if you feel unsafe you can refuse to do parts of the physical assessment. Of the 10 my wife only did 4. Simply state no that is too painful or you have had falls or you are dizzy. They will ask about good and bad days. It is a nonsense simply state you have bad with some better days.

Hi

This might be too late. But they will ask a question and then further down they will ask you the same thing a different way round to see if you answer the same. They did do this with me but I'd been warned so I was ready ha ha. I got standard on both. Hope everything goes well. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

I'm probably too late and really hope all goes well.

Not to sound negative but pre-warned is pre-armed.

An acquaintance believes she was denied the award because she was asked whether she was able to attend hospital and doctor's appointments and, if she was able to attend them alone as well as how she got there and back. She answered all questions honestly.

She is currently awaiting the outcome of her mandatory reconsideration.

Afternoon , I hope it went fairly well for you and you can switch off for the rest of the day, I have been nervous about things in my life and still am, I’ve suffered with anxiety/depression on and off seemed to have started around an early change, i was on citalopram for years but then with being diagnosed with sleep apnea/fibro/ cfs I found eventually after trial and error doctor put me on duloxtene my whole outlook changed with this and 99 per cent no depression/anxiety. I read a lot here that depression and or anxiety can be a huge weight for people as if having fibro is not enough, do you have any meds to help you.with ways to cope?? The forum is good to chat here as many can relate with you and much empathy. healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., I’ve posted a link if you would like to lock your posts, it’s so only our community can see and not open to any other site engines on the internet. Take care x
