Constant pain
Hi
You could very well have fibro as well. Please see if your Gp will refer to a rheumatologist. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
The affects of methotrexate can be very individual and sometimes require a higher dose. There are also other medications which can be given with methotrexate which could also help. Did your rheumatologist put you on methotrexate? Whilst my wife was on methotrexate there was a helpline which she Could ring. Have you this option? It can take time for the methotrexate to work and your GP is correct in saying it is early days as it did take from memory 6 months for it to help my wife. Have you discussed with your GP if there are any painkillers which could help you in the short term? Until the methotrexate kicks in.

I am pretty much in constant pain in my neck and shoulders and lower back also.
Any DMARD can take several months to start showing noticeable effect because you have to keep increasing the doseage to what suits you. Are you on any other meds?
