Hi Sharon, it's good to hear from you. How are you doing 🤗🤗🤗
Hi Diz,
well....this could be a looooong story but I'll try to stay on topic and keep it short.
I've certainly been better and I very rarely have a 'good day' anymore. And it isn't the fibromyalgia as much as it is my liver and right kidney, as well as my thyroid [which they want to biopsy AGAIN] So many things are affected when your liver is dying, but the back pain is the worst, second to that would be the swelling from fluid in my abdomen [ascites] which I periodically have to have drained [paracentesis] THIS is what makes my disease decompensated and terminal.
I have decided NOT to have a liver transplant. I'll take my chances, come what may.
The liver specialist suggested a T.I.P.S. procedure, which stands for transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt, a radiologist makes a tunnel through the liver with a needle, connecting the portal vein [this vein is only 3 inches long, not a lot to work with if they make a mistake] to one of the hepatic veins (veins connected to the liver). A metal stent is placed in this tunnel to keep it open.
Yeah. I decided against this procedure when I found out it must be re-done every 3-12 months. I'm not doing any of it. I've been cut open and re-arranged too many times. I'm 60 years old and I'm done with the so-called medical experts.
Now I am eating a plant based diet and using natural herbal supplements.[read: CBD]
Thank you for asking how I am doing and I will try to be more present. You are a lovely group!
Morning, glad to see you posting it’s been awhile how are you xx
