Unfortunately, at the moment there aren't any blood tests that can diagnose fibro. It does have some very strange symptoms I will often have the twitches it comes out of the blue for a few days and then as mysteriously as it comes it goes. I will also have strange sort of freezy prickly sensations my lips. It often seems to happen if I am overtired, stressed or in flare mode.
I am assuming your fall didn't involve a head injury?
Hope you feel better soon.x
I now think the twitches you describe were the beginning of my fibro. I don’t get them so much now but did used to get them in eyes and face, and in my scalp too. I’m now thinking this has gone on to more muscle spasm. For example yesterday all my back seemed to go into a spasm and lock.
Do you find smells such as perfumes overwhelming ? This is quite common in fibro, sensory overload. I cannot cope with too much noise ( especially repetitive noise, like chanting, even repetitive songs) and something like a perfume counter would have me running for the door.
You’re not losing your mind, it’s just overloaded at the moment. Take it slowly and read a bit about fibro symptoms. When you recognise others have the same as you and there is some help, it doesn’t seem so overwhelming.
There is no blood test for diagnosing fibromyalgia, however, before a diagnosis is confirmed then tests should be done to rule out other conditions such as arthritis, lupus etc xxx
