Hi just thought I would share this information with you for those awaiting their PIP reveiw. Mine is due to end June 2024 I put my papers in 11 mths ago . My blue badge is due June 2024 to be renewed I left a previous message a few weeks ago. Well I rang PIP to be told they are extending it for a year as still under review. But at least I now know this .Hope you all able to get updates on a review too. Enjoy the Sunshine 🌞

That's good news. My relative had his claim extended for a year but within two months they set his assessment review date. Seems sometimes left arm doesn't know what the right arm is doing.

just a word to the wise, if they are extending it then get them to either email/letter you a letter stating that as you may have difficulty getting your blue badge or reduction on your road tax.

This happened to me and I ended up paying full price for my road tax and wasn’t able to get a refund as it was over a year ago. 😊

Hi, my PIP is due up in November 2024, but I've not heard anything or had any paperwork through. Did you get in touch with them or did PIP initiate contact? Thanks x

in reply toJanecc12

Usually PIP will automatically send you the review forms to fill in, but I am surprised you haven't received them yet as you only have six months left. It may be worth calling them if you don't receive anything in the next couple of months

I will thanks. I know you felt the same, but I am dreading this review. Nothing has gotten any better, in fact things have gotten worse with my health. But I still have the nagging doubt that it'll go wrong. I need to be more positive!! Thanks again x

I was a wreck waiting for my assessment, my last assessment was a nightmare and had lies all through the report, I had to go to tribunal. I assumed it would end the same this time so had been so stressed and anxious, covered in rashes from the stress, I was so relieved when I got my decision! It's a horrible thing to go through time and time again. 🤞For you x

hi I had the same ! My report was nothing like the conversation I actually had and it was like the report was written on a different person as it certainly wasn’t me he was talking about! However I did call and appeal and the lady on the phone was great she went through all the questions checked what I wasn’t happy with and where I felt it was wrong and within a few weeks I had won the appeal and the money was adjusted and I’m actually better off! So please don’t panic over pip if it’s wrong as the call centre seem well aware of discrepancy mine also delayed by a year but they just keep things the same until they do their part.

Hope that’s helpful 😊

If nothing has changed then go to yoyr previous application and rught nothing has changed and rewrite how you are affected. If same points are not awarded then you can write this if you need to challenge it

mine due December 24 already had paperwork send and sent it back, if I were you I’d get in touch with them just to be on the safe side.

I just had my review come through only 2 weeks before the review date, so definitely not 6 months beforehand so I wouldn't start worrying until October if I were you - best not to prod the sleeping dog LOL

The process for me was they sent me a text telling me papers were on their way on 18th March, that they had sent the form on the 8th April and my PIP 3 years was up on the 1st April. I got the form sorted and back to them and I have text confirming receipt on 24th April and it reads

"We have received your PIP review form. We may contact you for more information or you may need an assessment with a health professional before we make our decision. We will contact you again if you do. You will continue to get PIP while your award is being reviewed. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change."

I have no idea how long this process takes but as they have the form I've done my bit so I'm keeping quiet for now.

Hi, mine was extended for a year, 10 months after sending back forms, and then received an appointment for video assessment two weeks later! It did mean I could get my blue badge and car tax sorted on time though, and my carer continued to get payment. Luckily I stayed on enhanced for both daily living and motobility. Good luck with your assessment if you need one x

I got my forms well over a year ago, Filled them in and returned them , Kept getting texts saying it was delayed , then got a letter saying they were extending it for a year , Then 2 days later got a text and letter stating i had date for pip assessment , this ended up being a telephone asessment as id picked up a viral infection , so now awaiting a response.

I sent my forms off 11 months ago for my pip had all the normal stuff got paper work etc and I’ve had a few texts off them saying due to backlog your follow on claim is delayed we will keep paying you until your appointment date or something like that lol so I’ve just got to wait for whoever going to change all my words for me to call again. And say na na na that’s incorrect you would think they would just look and say arthritis no cure give them pip automatic

the same happened to me. 4 months later they sent a message saying had been reviewed and letter in post. I did not get assessed again. They made their decision and as things hadn’t changed I got same award standard living and higher rate mobility indefinitely. I am state pension age

Good luck x

Thank you for the update… mine was only sent back in December 23….. in for quite a long wait yet it seems! Frustrating when things have changed too 😟

my review is due this October and I have also had nothing so far!

It took me 2 appeals to get my award which was standard for both pip and mobility, my condition has deteriorated so much the past 2 years so I am hoping to gain enough to get full mobility this time so I can at least get out the house on occasions, although I would also gladly just get what I am getting to and not go through the stress that I had to go through in the first place.

Good luck to everyone who is waiting x
