Hi all my names georgia and imtwenty two and I'm new here.I have a wonderful supporting partner family and friends. I was only diagnosed with fibromyalgia today. But I have had chronic pain and other symptoms the past five years and I really liked that there is other people here who might be able to help me understand what's going on and having a nice support group to talk with people who are dealing with the same things as me. So please be gentle with me it's my first time talking to people like this.
Hope you are all doing well and thanks.

Hi GIIGII, Im probabley the last person you should talk to today, Ive just posted how miserable Im feeling at the moment, but I know I can tell this group stuff like that without them throwing their hands up in horror and sending for little men in white coats! They are a great bunch, enjoy! Lyzzie x
thankyou very much. nice to know who you can trust, Ive been watching Puppiesmake you lol, it was really cute, Im going to go to bed and read, nothing like a good werewolf remance for escapism, my english lit teacher would be spinning in his grave!! bless you blue, all of you. Lyzzie x
Thanks Georgia, it will go I expect, just wallowing tonight, but like I said, the important thing is people on this site never judge you, just want to help and be supportive, plus admin seem to know all the answers, or a least where to find them. Good to meet you Lyzzie x
I hope you have a better day tomorrow or have something to make you smile. And I get that everyone needs a day to wallow. And thanks that's really good to know thank you for talking to me and nice to meet you to Georgia x
Hi you are younger than my son (he is 24) young to have fibromyalgia - this is a great supportive site - and the guys here have answered a lot of my questions - great when you can't sleep (only people that are up!!!)- wish you well. - Neese. 😊 x
Hi yeah I was told it was unusual to have it so young but I'm glad that I have found this forum and have such a good support system in place. Thank you very much i hope you are well x
I was diagnosed when I was 20. I'm now 55 so have lived with the condition for a long time.
As you are newly diagnosed you might like to have a look at our mother site fmauk.org
My best personal advice to you would be to start asking us any questions you'd like answered (between us we have a lot that we can share) but mainly just to take a deep breath, slow down and take some time out to come to terms with your diagnosis.
It is an awful lot to take on board so take some time and let it all sink in.
It is wonderful that you have a supportive network around you. That will help enormously.
If you need any help navigating your way around the forum or don't understand any expressions you may hear please don't hesitate to ask and I'll do my best to help you.
And I will be sure to ask anything I don't know or need help with and please if I can be of any help to anyone else let me know or if there is anything I can do.
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I am so genuinely sorry to read that you also have Fibro and I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.
I joined the site on 9th June, a little dubious I must admit, having had overload on another site. But every day, I am glad I did.
Sometimes I say nothing, some time I write great rambling posts (sorry peeps), sometimes I skip posts, and sometimes I learn just the bit of information I needed.
No one will ever judge what you post, spelling isn't important, saying something is. We all have hard days, today it's Lyzzies turn, tomorrow might be mine. No one complains if you post about having a hard/bad day, but loads will share your hard day with you, give support, love, care and just be here.
