I totally agree, pernecious anaemia which is an inability to absorb b12 runs strongly in my family, but whenever I have a blood test they say my b12 is normal, supplements make no difference to me, I would love to have a therapeutic trial of b12 injections to see if they help, but sadly that's not available.

My B12 always comes out as very high, but I supplement. However, I do feel extremely tired and have very weak muscles. I would also like to try injections!

I am still receiving monthly B12 injections as recommended by the local cfs /me clinic. Definitely know when I'm next due to get mine. Do ask/request /demand for these

Dear Emm,

I’m often on the post when it comes to b12, I know it makes you feel better but so does snorting cocaine...

It does not make it actually better for your body, excess vitamins just get flushed out, and quite rapidly by the kidneys.

With injections this fast flushing can lead to but not limited to rosacea, diabetes, diabetic nephropathy (kidney failure), liver failure, increased risk of autistic birth outcomes, heart attack and stroke...

Does it still sound safe to everyone...

I do believe if you find something that works for you, then go ahead do it, be it medication or therapy. But, you need to know the risks and the benefits.

Keeping the fibro at bay,

Rai xxx
