Hi - I see you have often posted on Thyroid UK. I have read that the lining of the bladder needs good levels of T3 - so it can heal and maintain a healthy bladder. Do you know your level ?
I’m confused tbh as I was diagnosed with under active thyroid then told I was ok ... now under a rheumatologist ?
Not those particular antibiotics but I did have a horrendous reaction to another. Ended up in hospital.
Look at the patient information leaflet ( if you’ve lost it look at the BNF website and you’ll get all the info on each drug) Look at known side effects. Might be worth calling 111 for advice. If it were me, I’d stop taking them.
Thank you .. I have stopped but it’s 2nd lot of antibiotics ... think it may be viral .. will see Dr
Hi, I was given Co-amoxiclav last year, have never had problems with penicillin before, but I took one capsule and went into anaflactic shock in seconds of taking the first dose. Needless to say I can no longer have penicillin.
How awful ... it seems it’s the other ingredient with penicillin that could be the problem Izzy... I came off them after my eyes swelled up and I also come out in broken blisters on my body ... feeling real poorly today after a bad night with pain and fever ....
Hi Ladybex, I responded to your last post about the pain. After listening to hundreds of lectures on chronic disease, this doctor offered a presentation on the Lyme and Mold Summit and I think it has merit. It's sort of an old condition called lactic acidosis. While we blame antibodies and gluten sensitivity starting the autoimmune process, this is probably the first issue and it lowers oxygen in the cells and your muscles to tighten and produce pain. He says it is a prediabetes for some or even heart disease since that is also a muscle. It is also a result of burning sugar instead of fat. The waste produced make the pH of the body too acidic. This is a huge problem in the U.S. and I don't know how yours is but he recommends a ketogenic diet on occasion but not with excessive protein. You also need supplements. I've always felt that lactic acid wasn't being released as it should. Binders should be used to take up toxins. Here is one of his you tube videos if you want to check it out. youtube.com/watch?v=4QrWzaf...
I have had that for urine infections and it caused other things . I avoid antibiotics now. I healed an infection and got rid if a kidley stone last january. I used lemon juice, Braggs cider vinegar for the infection . And i got chancra piedra from amazon for the kidney stone . It softened the stone and i passed it !
Ive still got the antibiotics . They kill all the good bacteria in your gut , so ive been having kefir to replace them from the last time . I make it myself , its very easy. My gut is much better now ( ive been having diverticulitis and ibs , possibly leaky gut . I think its all healed now but i keep on with the kefir . And i have as little sugar as possible , its poison. You need greens etc , prebiotics , to feed the good bacteria. Im trying to keep healthy by looking after my gut. That isnt all i had to go onto , a lectin and nightshade free diet . Im losing weight , slowly but steadily.
I suggest you try kefir or another form of probiotic. You can get them in capsules , my dietician recommended a particular one . You might find it helps your eye and the sores. All the best . K
Also i take cranberry tablets daily and another preventative , fir urinary tract health. I'll find the name and add it . I hope prevention is better than cure . God bless Kay
Antibiotics, like any other medication, have a huge list of adverse reactions. If yours is not listed in the drug leaflet, you can report it accessing the link below, for further update of the adverse reactions to the named drug
