It’s probably a daft question does anybody suffer with heartburn.I used to get this in my 20s & 30s.
I have this constant for the last 5 days and of and of previous times.Could it be a fibromyalgia thing.

Could be connected to low stomach acid so foods remain in the stomach too long and can begin to ferment. The symptoms of low and high acid are similar. Try something natural like Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother. A teaspoon in water before meals. Perhaps it happens after certain foods ? My Nana took bi-carbonate of Soda in warm water for her heartburn. 😊
I have bad acid for over a year now never thought anything of it really till I saw my dietician she said doctor has to investigate it got results 2 weeks ago turned out I have an ulcer speak to your doctor it will probably be nothing but always good to check
For a piece of mind I would book into to see your doctor, I was on omoerazole for a long time , acid seemed worse so doctor ordered a endoscopy turned out I have a hiatus hernia, just have to watch what I eat and drink more and on tablet still xx
Hi Chance15! Yes I have had heartburn and also night time acid reflux which kept leaving me with a sore throat. I don't know if it is a fibromyalgia thing but I use silicolgel which has pretty much stopped the heartburn occurring, and greatly reduced the night-time reflux. I usually take it just once before bedtime, and if I'm going out for a meal in the evening especially if I am drinking any alcohol, I'll take some the lunchtime before I go. It's been brilliant actually as I also suffer from stress related IBS and it has given me the confidence to go out again with less anxiety because it's controlled my digestive symptoms - of which there were many!
I get heartburn which I never did before I had fibro, but I definitely find caffeine makes it worse.
