Good morning to all you fellow suffer's of Fibro, hope you are feeling as good as you can be today? my GP is against perscribing sleeping tablets even though I have begged but heard that melatonin tablets can help? Is anyone on them/tried them & do they work? I have hallucinations due to lack of sleep which are really scarey x

Totally emphasize with the lack of sleep. I had Melotonin prescribed some years back but unfortunately it didnt help me with sleeping but as we are all individuals it is worth a try, certainly didn't do me any harm which is more than I can say for many drugs. Good luck if you decide to try it.x

Hi Willow1967 . Yes, I have had Melatonin prescribed by my GP in the past for 3 months (apparently they are not allowed to prescribe it for any longer than 3 months) and I did find it helpful. I was sleeping better and waking up feeling more refreshed. x

I take 2 melatonin with vitamin B12 nearly every night. ( started couple weeks ago) works most nights. Don’t get that nasty drugged feeling the next day like you do with sleeping pills.

Hi, I take antihistamines; prescribed. A locum GP suggested I take one every so often to ensure a good sleep and they have indeed worked. He only prescribed 28 every 4 months or so but it is good to have them if I get to the point I can’t function.

Take care. Exhaustion is a killer.
