Problems with waterworks!!

rainbowdancer profile image
14 Replies

Hi This is a bit personal but we all do it ha ha

I just wondered does anyone have problems with passing urine. If I feel like going to the loo (which is not very often ) I sit and have to wait for gravity so to speak. Very small amounts just trickle out and I sit for ages it seems till my bladder empties. Oh what I would give for a good Pee !!!

My legs and body do swell with fluid retention and even on water tablets I still have no pressure.....I do go to the loo more frequently on the water tablets, but without them I can go hours. I drink mainly water all day and maybe have a coffee once in a while, but thats all.

Thanks for reading this;

Gentle hugs to all x x

IT SOUNDS AWFUL FOR YOU. NO - THANKFULLY I DON'T HAVE THIS

PROBLEM - BUT YOU HAVE MY SYMPATHY. I WONDER IF LESS SALT

IN YOUR DIET WOULD HELP? MAYBE YOU DONT TAKE MUCH SALT ANYWAY

BUT IT COULD CONTRIBUTE. SORRY CAN'T BE MORE HELPFUL.

Hi rainbowdancer,

I have the complete opposite really as I pee all the time, tenne is my best friend along with the radar key for disabled toilets. Might be worth going to the doctors and getting this checked as most people I have spoken to say they have troubles like mine. Hugs x

Thanks for the imput everyone ,and I have told the Dr but mine is so laid back he would fall over. Just says Oh you are a mystery lets deal with your Fibro probs first or your Joints etc.

Even gave me water tablets but still no pressure lol x x x

Hi Rainbowdancer. Do you have a continence clinic in your area ? They are generally led by a nurse practitioner and are very experienced with bladder problems.

Your GP would know but you can normally self refer by phone .

Not heard of one but will look into it thanks x x

Hi Rainbowdancer

Yes I have the very same problem & its sooo annoying. I feel such an urge to go & then I have to sit for ages with the taps on to try get me flowing but its usually just a dribble. I too drink more fluids since I noticed this. I drink 3 750ml bottles of water with a drol of no added sugar diluted juice.

At night time I notice that my feet & ankles are swollen. I am goin to have to say to Do next time I am up. The only decent pee is when I get up in the morning. I have recently bedn put on Lyrica & wonder if thats the reason. I hope not as I do feel they have helped shooting pains I get up my legs to groin.

Luv & Hugs

Thanks Jac I do go but I have to wait for gravity and my legs and abdamin swell up from about 4ish making my legs very heavy, and what little walking I can do is affected.

RD

Yes I am exactly the same. I wont buy the over the counter tablets for water retention as I have high blood pressure & on the leaflet inside it tells you not to take fluid tabs.

I'm also affraid of the Doc taking me back of the Lyrica if its them causing it because it has taken me for what I feel like forever to get the pain relief from them. Hopefully whats lrinted is just a precautionary thing & can give me something.

I really think we both need to go get it checked out as I would imagine it would be serious if it continued for too long.

Luv & Hugs

Jac

Are you on cymbalta as this may be the reason it's one
