Always explain what it’s like on your worst days and how it affects your life. My sister has cancer and was awarded pip without too much problem although she should have applied earlier as there was a stage where she couldn’t stand, sit, lie down or anything for her pain and was told for months it was sciatica that was over a year ago and she is still awaiting surgery as her tumour has to be shrunk with chemo first. So just be honest and think of a really bad day where you maybe can’t get up and move around or do anything. They may or may not ask you to do a couple of small movements but if you can’t do them then say so. I wish you good luck and if they don’t award you what you need appeal immediately.
Take care
Jackie
I had a home visit from Capita in January and they asked me questions about what I could or could not do on a daily basis. If you just answer them as if it is your worse day every day you should be fine. Make sure there is someone there with you to open the door, prompt you if you forget. I had a representative from Fightback4 Justice with me which made me feel at ease. Mainly they will ask you questions about your condition and how it affects you, they go by your completed form. I was awarded my PIP four weeks later when they wrote to me without having to go for Mandatory Reconsideration or Appeal. Wishing you the best of luck, let us know how you get on x
