Hi try not to be nervous .you have already sent forms in.assessor will be looking at computer and asking you questions going over your form etc.dont say the word sometimes .if you need help and care and cant do things repeatedly majority of time then you cant do it.they do comment how you look and how you sit and walk to room .so please bear this in mind. try not be nervous if your entitled to it you should get it.finaly so you understand points system and rates .you need 8 points for mobility and 8 points for care component these are standard rates for enhanced rates it is 12 points.you can add mental health points to mobility...do the pip self test Google pip self test and you will see benefits for work.you don't give name and not binding.fill in same as forms and it will tell you in their opionion wot points and rates they think you should get and are entitled to and you can stick to your guns with this knowledge.and it will help you understand more.it is pip self test and website benefits for work good luck.id always say to people do this before you fill forms in and get advice to help you understand system

That is cold, up London it is not as cold x

I hope it goes really well hun! I've never applied for PIP but I would advise that you try and write down between now and then all the things that you want to say! When you're in stressful situations it can be difficult to remember the things that you need to say :) xxx

also they do tend to ask about wots on forms you sent in and usually discuss that .if you have any new letters or evidence you can take them along .and a clerk will photo copy then and hand them over to assessor before you go in.

hey DanielleGemma thank you xx

I had mine they are very helpful believe it or not don't panic just be yourself but all the very best

Not all are helpfull some dishonest and grumpy.if he goes prepared and try be calm hopefully ok and a good assessor

Morning sweetie good luck for Friday. Just be yourself and as the other say write down as much as you can and take everything with you and make sure they have it. Even appointment letters. I did and I gave them everything that I had. So in other words I bombarded them with everything. I had my assessment at home and she was very nice so I was very lucky and I have got awarded higher rate on both. Please let us know how you get on. Fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž for you sweetie. ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒนxxx

Hi hun I am sure it will be ok. The only thing that she made me do was she asked me to grip her fingers and lift my leg up a little bit and nothing else. She could see that I was very ill when she arrived. I have to say it wasnโ€™t as bad as I thought it was going to be. She came to my house and assessed me here. I truly have everything crossed ๐Ÿคž for you. Please let us know how you get on. I got a letter a good few weeks later telling me that I was getting full rate on both. Good luck sweetie. Take good care of yourself. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒนxxx

You are so welcome sweetie take good care of yourself and I have my fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž for you. Did you read Ajay post this morning about pip ? Itโ€™s just advice on pip. Please let us know how you get on. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ‘‹xx

Hi there/ best of luck for Friday- You are bound to be nervous but you need to calm those nerves and get your point across. I was very lucky with my assessor and I was having a horrid flare which helped, sad to say. The other thing that helped was laying things out really clearly- I took examples of a good day with no flare, a bad flare day, a methotrexate day and non med day. This pretty much covered my whole life! I also said โ€˜have I made myself clear? โ€˜ several times!!! And lastly when doing the exercises, its worth saying, โ€˜iโ€™m Sure you donโ€™t want me to do anything that hurts do u? Remember itโ€™s not just if U can do something, itโ€™s whether you have pain during and after, whether it takes longer than average and if you can do it repeatedly, eg reaching up for something on a shelf, or repeatedly brushing hair etc. Hope this helps a bit. If u are not successful ( I hope u will be!) make sure to ask for a copy of the transcript of interview. Xxx

Thank you, I will do. I have not had much time to prepare and spent most of the day in bed today. I still need to book a taxi for tomorrow morning too! I have asked a friend to attend so hopefully he can come, did you go alone? xx

I got a lift and was dropped at the door. I was feeling so ill it was a huge deal and I didnโ€™t feel prepared but Iโ€™d done better than I thought... courage xxx

yeah I have just booked a cab, not feeling great at the moment either :(

Hi hun don't be nervous I have good experience with them and he was very kind good luck hun xx
