Bone Pain?

Hi all, I have had fibromyalgia for years and thought I had experienced every symptom there is but no, I have a new one so wondered if anyone else gets it. It feels like bone pain especially in my legs. It wakes me up it is so bad. I also have 3 lumps in my shoulder blade which are really sore. I went for a massage the other day but the masseur couldn’t get rid of them. I HATE going to the doctors so thought I would see on here first if anyone else suffers in this way. Thank you

Hi Helenw, I have Fibro and Osteoarthritis in 1 knee. Apart from the exhaustion my main symptom is bone pain. The only way I can explain it is to say that my skeleton is bruised or on fire. It hurts so bad to the point I sometimes hurt myself by hitting my arms on something or my husband has to squeeze the area with all his might as it gives me a bit of relief all be it short lived. My Rheumatologist dept have not really been very helpful and now after seeing the top honcho consultant he says my bloods are constantly showing abnormal results and he is sending me for MRI and to Haematology to have my blood investigated. I did have steroids injections via guided ultra sound into my wrist joint which gave me relief from the aching throb for a about 8 weeks but it is now returning. I have hardly and Vit D levels also and was put on 10,000iu a day. Hope you get some answers soon. Keep hanging in there , hugs xx

Hi Helenw 😊🌸🌿🦋

I started having bone pain in my teens. The best way to describe it was it hurts so deep it’s in the marrow. I didn’t get help for it I’ve suffered with it till present day (67) and it’s debilitating like all other chronic conditions.

I’m sorry you have this too. I hope you have pain relief as often as possible. My doctor won’t give me steroid injections...I’m in the USA.

Things are done differently than in the UK.

Take care and best wishes.

😊🌸🌿😊🤗💗😘

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to reply to me. Yes I get pain killers but they are not as effective as they used to be as you probably know!. Let’s hope for a cure one day. Take care xx

Hi helenw,

Sounds like your fibrous tissue is inflamed, I get this in both shoulders every day, use fenbid gel which is an anti inflammatory ( ask gp to prescribe) and ibuprofen which takes the edge off the pain, sending hugs 🤗🤗🤗🌻🌺💐🥀NanaT
