Blue Badge
The system for getting disability benefit is incredibly strict. It is absolutely terrible. There has been people that have lost limbs and been rejected. Ive heard that they sometimes also say no if you can propel your own wheelchair. In saying that there is an article below where a woman couldn't propel her own wheelchair and was still refused a government funded electric one. Gasp! Its all about money and seems to be getting kept for people that are completely incapacitated and cant do anything at all for themselves.

You can apply for a Blue Badge without receiving disability benefit. I know this isn't ideal if you feel you are disabled and entitled to the benefit, however, the badge is a very handy thing to have.
Apply again and if you can, attach a letter from your GP confirming that you are in a wheelchair. That should do the trick.
I went to CAB to get help to fill it in.you should have no problems if in a wheelchair but be precise in the short distance you can walk,40 metres etc.
Good luck
Just prove you’ve been diagnosed and send in medical proof That’s all you have to do If you ain’t got this you won’t get a blue badge
