Hi; I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and safe to say I feel completely lost and alone. Many people don't understand what it involves and how much this all changes your life, at 23 my world has been turned upside down, it's hard to say what is worse the pain or tiredness, feel Terrible all the time, would love to talk to someone in same position as I am in, xx

Hi Robyn, I am sorry you have been diagnosed with fibro but you have come to the right place to receive lots of advice and support and hopefully you won't feel so lost and alone. Our friendly members are always willing to share their experiences, thoughts and even the odd joke here and will no doubt welcome you to the forum. However I would like to mention that you are likely to receive more replies if you lock your post. You don't have to but many of our members are not too keen on responding to unlocked ones as if unlocked, they can be accessed outside of the community and read by internet search engines. Instructions on how to lock your posts can be found on the link below but if you get stuck please don’t hesitate to ask for help.

healthunlocked.com/fibromya...

You may also wish to check out our main site at some point as it contains plenty of useful information and links including how to search for local fibro support groups in your area:

In the meantime I would like to welcome you to the forum and look forward to getting to know more about you. Take care. x

As our lovely Ramjets has already explained you may get more replies by locking this and further post's. If you need help with it please just ask any of the admin team. I hope you have a wonderful weekend xx

Hi Robyngisbourne8

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last week. I agree it’s hard to know whether the pain or fatigue is the worse. Also because you can do something one day doesn’t mean you can do it the next.

Are you taking any medication? I’ve started 10mg Amitriptyline at night. It is making the pain better and I am sleeping more but don’t think it’s had time to work to it’s full effect yet.

I find tens machine, Epsom salt bath and microwave heat bags a lifesaver during the day.

Hope your pain especially eases.

Sending gentle hugs 😀

Thank you to all your lovely replies, it's so nice to speak to others whom are the same as I am, And thank you for all the advice and help xx
