The cough

Hi everyone, well this is the fourth night of me coughing myself silly, went to the doctor and he said it was viral, iv3 been coughing constantly since Sunday and have tried every sweetie and cough medicin3 out there, has anyone else had it and how long did it last, it’s Doin* my head in now lol xx

I had the cough over Christmas. Worst cough I’ve ever had, my ribs hurt with coughing, it was awful. Cough medicines don’t really work, you’re better off making your own honey and lemon and sipping it. Menthol lozenges seemed to give me some relief.

Trying to remember how long it lasted. It started just before Christmas and I was still coughing in the middle of Jan, though not as bad. My hearing has been muffled with blocked ears, that settled about the end of Jan

Thanks for replying, I hope it doesn’t last too much longer, I wouldn’t wish this on my own worst enemy, it’s a horrible virus, my hubby got me some honey etc this morning and I’ve been sipping it, seems to help along side inhaling steam with olbas oil, glad to hear that you are better now. Xx

week 7 for me hun- still have a small bolus each morning I ve been using Bronco stop liquid and pastilles..

I will be grey if it lasts that long lol. I found Lemsip mucus cough syrup is ok too. Hope yours don't last too much longer xx

I’m already grey - not sure that’s the coughs fault but yes I have had it for about 5-6 weeks now - not as bad just annoying when I have got sore ribs so sneezing and or coughing feels like someone is stabbing me hard

Started mine Christmas Eve and only this week have felt better. Sorry to bring bad news but hopefully yours won't last as long. The earache went this morning - yippee!

I came down with flu on Jan 2nd, with all the accompanying coughs, which proceeded to tun into Pleurisy, so I've been coughing nearly 6 weeks now. slowly getting there, but still a small cough, irritating as hell.

I feel ok in myself it's just this dam cough it really is relentless. I've even lost my voice too which my hubby is quite pleased about lol

I really am hoping that mine doesn't turn any worse than it already is. I hope you feel better soon too. Take care xx

I’ve tried friars balsam today , I have to say it seems to be helping my cough, it’s smells horrible but you can feel the vapours workings. Hope everyone is having a pain free day xxx
