my stomach muscles hurt?
Congratulations, if you haven't been swimming for a while then that's probably why your tummy muscles hurt. The more you swim, the stronger your tummy muscles will become and it won't hurt anymore. Laughing is the best medicine and it also works those tummy muscles too. 😁
Hi angelbubble1
Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information: fmauk.org/
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are in pain and I have to agree with mattoi-mags, it is could be related to the fact that you have not been swimming for a while.
I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Hi there, it will most probably be the swimming. Swimming is so good for your core area which in turn helps reduce any lower back pain. Swimming is a perfect exercise for us Fibroites as there is no impact on the joints. Well done for getting back into the pool, you have given me the kick up the bum I needed to resume taking to the pool. Also aqua jogging is also fantastic - my preferred exercise as I can still wear my makeup and keep my hair dry lol. Take care hun
Hello angelbubble1,,,,congratulations on your placement in the race,,,,,never out of practise for swimming,,,,,,now your stomach muscles hurt,,,,they have been stretched while you were swimming,,as the whole range of muscles are used during each stroke,of your arms,,,so you have worked your abdominal muscles and they are telling you about it,,,,just bend and move slowly and don't try to move anything that feels heavy,,,,,ttfn from Karen.
