Son having surgery which involves cutting behind his ears and across his head... pretty major stuff which I am mentally preparing for. Just hope I don't relapse as I need to care for him.
Anyway, so his ears heal back ok they have advised he sleeps in a head band for two months after surgery. Any recommendations? I need one that's not going to come off for a boy who is a right fidget!!!!
Thank you

Sending good wishes and fast healing thoughts for your son. Do the hospital not provide covering like a bandage after the operation? Maybe a crape bandage may stay in place better than a headband? xx
What about one of those head bands that hold a torch on your head? I'm pretty sure they're elasticated and/or have velcro fastening and are quite thick. You can get them without the torches.
Hi I had an accident & had to have my ear reattached & had half my head shaved.I tried so many things and discovered that considering fabric texture ie super soft thick fleece & where seams are, was crucial. My favourite outside of work were shaped ear warmers popular with ski or horse riding (and cheap eg around £3-6) plus they wash well in work I adopted a hijab type head cover that is used under a Muslim veil so that was a smart soft snood type of thing I could slide over my head & it felt like the sort of thing people wouldn’t comment on as I was a bit sensitive about how tatty I looked underneath happy to discuss further if you have any questions
Hi I have completely failed to log in to this on my work computer but if you look for Mark Todd ear warmers on eBay etc then you’ll see they are under a fiver, shaped so they don’t come off easily & lots of colours. Loads of similar products but avoid anything with Velcro as it’s scratchy & hair gets caught in it. Ladies sizes will fit bigger kids. I wear a 6 5/8 riding hat which means my head is circa 55cm circumference & they are snug not tight, comfy to sleep in & wash beautifully.
