After being turned down for PIP , I asked for the decision to be looked at again . The paperwork was signed as received on the 4.10.17 . I've heard nothing since . Should I call ?

Hi there although I'm not experiencied in this area it's been a month nearly a phone call wouldn't hurt I guess just to make sure everything has been looked again for you then you will feel more reassured good luck hope you hear very soon
They said it will take 6 to 8 weeks.
If you call, please remember the cost of the call is 55p a minute, and they will keep you on hold as long as they can.
when i cal its free comes up on my phone bill as free too
Write another letter chasing. They should reply by 4 weeks. I chased and it seemed to get them moving a bit
So sorry you have had this long wait it must be a very anxious time for you. It wouldn't do any harm to make a quick phone call. Let us know how you get on.x
After trying to call and being left on hold , I've sent a letter . I'll keep you all posted .
when i went for mantarory heard back write on deadline 4 weeks...and i won with the letter awarding me.....so might be good news as i never had to fight them for tribuneral...as they said i was using public transport and i wasnot....they corrected there mistake with low mobility award i was very happy with outcome...had backpay too...so chin up hope yours works out good luck too you....
Update ! I just spoke to a very nice lady at the DWP , who informed me that although they have received my initial written request for a Mandatory Review and my follow up letter asking what was going on , my request was sat on file and had NOT been looked at ! She was very apologetic and has now pushed things through . Honestly , this whole system is a total nightmare . Plus the call is only free when you use the number to apply for PIP , inquirers are still expensive , despite this being a DWP mess up and not mine.
