Strength

Hi all,

I was talking to a friend last week and we mentioned how our lives had both changed due to us having chronic illnesses. We spoke how as people our lifestyle changes had changed our outlook on life.

We spoke about the negatives how the illnesses had changed us but my friend said we are focusing on the wrong area. She said what about the positives, I was mesmerised by this but she explained.

You are aware how precious life is

You found who are your true friends

You realise how important family is

You enjoy the things most take for granted

You focus on a goal and you strive to achieve it

But most of all the strength you have to fight daily and get back up when your down. The strength not to give up.

And you know what she was right. We are all strong and you don't really realise it.

Keep fighting and stay strong but don't be afraid to ask for help.

  • Yes, good points. I personally don't really focus on a goal etc but that's just one thing. Have you ever read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne? Positive thinking.
