Just had surgery on my shoulder and awoke feeling great! Lasted 3 days and I am back to not sleeping so well and all the normal fibro yuk. Got me thinking, does fentanyl help (not in the amount of a general anaesthetic, naturally!)? Lo and behold, I am finding that people are being prescribed fentanyl patches. May speak with GP about this.....!

Fibro and fentanyl

I think fentynal patches are going to be withdrawn.
I'm on bu trans patch at the moment.
Hi I have used these for ages they are good for pain in one place. Not for all over body pain. How did you find out they are being stopped ? I really hope not
Personally I think Fentanyl is a dangerous drug but others here have a different experience. I feel it should be a last resort medication. My experience when on it for 3 months was a nightmare. It was amazing for pain relief but the rest ..........

My son was on fentanyl patches but I think he is now in slow release oxycodine I take the slow release morphine which I reduced a bit because had hand surgery Thursday and wanted to reduce it so that I didn't need a higher dose after surgery. I did notice how much more pain I was in with my knees and his which actually showed me that the pills do actually help the pain. I have now gone to my usual dose and having to take oromorph to keepon top of the post op pain. Hope you find something that helps xx
Fentynl almost killed me. Pain management clinic prescribed them.I'm hypersensitive to most types of medication.
