Hi there

Yes I'm on Fentanyl patches and have been for years. Before that I was on Buprehorphine patches but became allergic to the sticky stuff on them! They also weren't as good as the Fentanyl for me...

I currently have use 75 mcg per hour patches and top up with Tramadol - usually 150mg modified release tablet once per day. This doesn't actually take all my pain away but really helps. I'm not on any other pain medication and came off Venlafaxine anti-depressants as Tramadol and anti-depressants don't mix very well for me. When I have a flare or have done more than usual and my pain escalates I put on another 12 or 25 mcg patch as taking oral morphine makes me feel wretched.

Please ask any questions you want - I'm happy to share my experiences but don't want to write a huge long answer as it may not be what you were looking for!!

Gentle hugs xx

Fentanyl.... Totally useless for me....Didn't help with the pain at all tried topping it up with oromorph and ended up terribly constipated...

Hope it works for you cos I am running put of pain meds that don't have side affects worse than the pain

Good luck xx

I'm on fentanyl 75 and top up with solpadol30/500. Like celticmoon they don't take all the pain away but they certainly help in keeping it at more bearable levels than anything else I've tried. Hope you get on ok with them xx

Hi

I am on Fentanyl 75, Co Codamol 30/500, Sertraline 100, Lyrica 150 as well as inhalers for my asthma. That said i never have a pain free day but without my Fentanyl i couldn't cope, it means the difference between being able to move relatively freely and being bedridden. Hope this helps :)
