Hi all :) I know it's a question asked a LOT 😁 But DWP have been sitting on my assessment report over two weeks πŸ˜• They told me decision within two weeks of getting the report back but still nothing .. it's so stressful, I can't stop stressing about it lol, how long have other members waited before the decision? Thank you x

Hi Anyac81

The problem with asking this question is that you will get a whole heap of different answers.

I would have thought that you should have had a copy of your assessors report through by now, but that obviously depends upon when you requested it?

It completely depends upon how much backlog the DWP have in your area, as to how long it will take for you to get a decision.

At the end of the day stressing isn't going to change whatever decision you are going to get.

Usually the DWP say anything up to 6 weeks for a decision.

Take care of yourself

I know it's a hard thing to say but try not to worry if they have a backlog it can take longer I have been waiting 3 weeks

Unfortunately, even assessors and decision makers get Summer holidays. It's almost certainly that.

Yes I've had the same thought this time of year :)

From the moment I filled the forms in until the day I received the money too 7 months.2 of those months were spent waiting for an appointment.

It takes different amounts of time depending on where you are in the country and what time of year it is. Just keep calling them to remind them that you are still trying to claim to see if they can hurry things along

That's quite a long time, so far it's been 6 months for me too! I assumed it would be quicker than I new application, it's a planned review, looks like it takes the same amount of time x

I had my f2f on 19th June. As I hadn't heard from them I called them yesterday to be told a decision had been made and I have been awarded higher rate Mobility with Standard rate care.

BUT... they don't know from what date my DLA ends and my PIP starts. Apparently no one knows why or when and no one knows why it has taken so long or when I will be officially notified. It has now been escalated so should hear towards the end of next week.

They did say that they "aim" to reach a decision. Within 2 weeks of receiving the report from the f2f but that sometimes there is a delay in them receiving the report and that can cause a knock on effect.

All I can suggest is to give them a call during the week and asking what's happening.
